Objectives:
- I can identify at least one career pathway that matches my interests, strengths, and values.
- I know how to research a career and determine the steps I would need to take to pursue that career.
- I can use Naviance, Oregon CIS, and strategic Internet searches to conduct research and gather reliable information about a career.
- I can make a short oral presentation about my Career Research Project.

- Go through 16 Career Clusters Slideshow, filling out your
- Return to Naviance and Oregon CIS and complete career surveys if you have not done so already: (not sure - log in and check!)
- Strengths Explorer (Naviance)
- Interest Profiler (CIS)
a.To log in to Franklin Naviance: Your user name is the first letter of your first name and then your last name. Your password is your ID number. Check out the results from the ‘Strengths Explorer Survey.’
b.Go to Oregon CIS. You should have already created an account and completed the ‘Interest Profiler.’ Check out those results again.
3.Start note-taking on your careers using Career Pathways Lesson 2
Research Time:
Use Naviance, Oregon CIS, and Google (but apply strategic search skills from Digital Citizenship Lessons #5 and #7).
Some ideas include:
- Side-by-side comparison for all information?
- Start with presenting Career #1, then Career #2, and end with a reflection on best fit?
- Side-by-Side Comparison with Pros and Cons?
